River Wharfe
The flood warning for the River Wharfe at Wetherby remains in force. River levels have been dropping in the upper catchments, but are now rising due to local rainfall. Levels are not expected to rise much further or reach yesterday’s levels. We are not expecting large amounts of rainfall through today and expect to remove the flood warning later on. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Wharfe, with low lying land expected to be most affected. Areas of particular concern are at Bridge Foot by the Wilderness car park, and Scott Lane, Wetherby. We are monitoring river levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Visit the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and up to date river levels. This message will be updated later today, or as the situation changes.
River Wharfe
This flood warning is now in force. Levels on the River Wharfe are rising due to intense rainfall over the last 24 hours during Storm Eunice. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Wharfe, with low lying land expected to be most affected. Areas of particular concern are at Bridge Foot by the Wilderness car park, and Scott Lane, Wetherby. Further rainfall is expected overnight on Sunday 20/02/2022 and into Monday 21/02/2022. We are monitoring river levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. River Wharfe
The flood warning for the River Whare at Wetherby has been issued as levels are rising following recent heavy rain over the upper catchments. Flooding of properties, gardens, roads and paths is possible. The current level of the River Wharfe at Collingham is 4.5m, and is expected to continue to rise and peak at around midnight tonight, 20/2/22. We will update the forecast details as new information becomes available.
